The delegation of Siberian Federal University (SFU) has visited Brandenburg Technological University (BTU)

The delegation of Siberian Federal University (SFU) has visited Brandenburg Technological University (BTU). It is for the second time that the Russian delegation of several SFU institutes headed by Prof. Nazirov has been to Germany.
The colleagues from Germany visited SFU in 2013 and 2014. The goal of the visit was a progress report of both visits, discussion of future plans for cooperation as well as inauguration ceremony of the new BTU Rector.
The result of the visit is signing a mutual cooperation agreement between SFU and BTU. Summer school application for students to be held in 2015 on the base of SFU is being considered now. In case of financing the school program will be developed and the exact date appointed by the two universities. In 2015 and 2016 a student of SFU will have training for doing research at BTU. Visiting professors from SFU are invited to BTU for giving lectures in April, 2015.Workshops of BTU teachers will be held in May, 2015. In addition, the following areas of cooperation have been utlined:

  • To unite efforts and possibilities of analytical laboratories of SFU and some specialized laboratories of BTU in the study of polymer sorbent (Unipolymer), its influence on environment and carry on cooperation in commercialization of polymer sorbents for oil producing companies in Europe;
  • To publish a joint article in an international research journal having united the results of the scientists of both universities on sanitation of oil affected soils and industrial buildings;
  • To get an international patent related to a new “Unipolymer-ferro” sorbent;
  • To prepare a joint monograph in German in Germany, including the results obtained in the universities on sanitation of oil affected objects of environment and industry.
